Group Tours

The Connecticut River Museum welcomes adult groups to come explore the Museum and discover the rich heritage and natural beauty of the Connecticut River Valley. The Museum is ADA accessible and open year round from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday through Sunday.

Museum Group Rates

Group of 10 or more are eligible for special group rates. To request a group reservation, please contact Visitor Services at 860.767.8269, ext. 118.

Tickets must be purchased with a single payment to receive the group rate. Payment by cash or credit card is due before or on arrival.

Group Self-Guided Admission – Explore the Museum on your own. You will be greeted by a staff member at the front desk to get you started on your visit. Self-Guided Visit Group Rate – $9 per person.

Group Guided Tour – A Museum docent will guide your group through the three floors of exhibit galleries. Allow approximately 60 minutes. After the guided tour your group is welcome to explore the Museum, Gift Shop, and Grounds. Docent-Guided Visit Group Rate – $12 per person.

Group River Cruise Packages (include General Museum Admission)

Enjoy each season’s beauty as we cruise the scenic lower Connecticut River on one of our vessels. Sail back in time on Onrust, a re-creation of the vessel Adriaen Block built in 1614. Explore the river on RiverQuest, an eco-tour boat. Experience the River’s ecology, rich history, and wildlife; including osprey, eagles.

RiverQuest Sightseeing for Group Tours

90 Minute Daytime Sightseeing Cruise: Over 34 passengers: $25pp.

60 Minute Daytime Sightseeing Cruise: Over 40 passengers: $18pp.

Onrust Sails

90 Minute Group Sail – Over 15 passengers: $28pp.

Note: Unless chartering the vessel, we reserve the right to open seats to the public. Special rates may not apply to scheduled public or weekend cruises.

Public Programs

We offer a wide variety of public events designed to connect audiences with all aspects of the Connecticut River, both historical and environmental. The programs aim to enhance the museum experience by supporting education, outreach and fundraising efforts. The events offered are dynamic, fun, content-rich, and intend to fully and deeply engage visitors. Programs include live music, group hikes, timely and engaging lectures, special events, and food and drink. All of our programs can be found on our calendar of events.

Youth Group Programs and Workshops

We welcome youth groups of all ages to visit the Connecticut River Museum. Scout, civic, homeschool, clubs, and faith-based groups are all welcome! Land and water based programs and workshops are offered year round. We focus on the human experience and natural environment of the Connecticut River and the Connecticut River Valley.

Groups should be a minimum of 15 participants. One adult per 10 children under the age of 17 is required.
