Trees in the Rigging Holiday Celebration and Boat Parade is back at the Connecticut River Museum on November 30, 2025! Join us at the Museum for a full day of holiday fun. Together with the Essex Historical Society, the Connecticut River Museum is pleased to present this classic event. Don’t miss Steve Cryan’s 32nd Annual Train Show on the 3rd floor or the dazzling displays created by local boaters during the Boat Parade.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: The street parade has been CANCELED. But the Boat Parade will still be taking place, so don’t miss it!

 

Schedule of Events:

  • Connecticut River Museum opens at 10am
  • Holiday vendors, children’s activities, crafts, and treats start at 12pm
  • Free hot chocolate at 4pm
  • Street Parade and lantern-lit carol stroll depart Essex Town Hall at 4:30pm  CANCELED
  • Boat Parade begins in front of Museum at 5pm
